So, it is day before heading out to the place where we have been quite a lot, so nothing special in that sense.
However, this time it won't be the usual three and a half hours by bus or five hours by train.
We have opted for we-have-no-clue-how-many-hours on foot.
Just like many Latvians, who studied in Tartu in 19th century, did. And just like (at least) some Estonians did too.
Although the route is chosen quite freely, pretty much going where we want and seeing what we want, we still like to think that we follow in the foosteps of two young guys who we admire for doing big things in their short lifetimes and both have travelled the distance of Riga-Tartu on foot.
Eduards (Veidenbaums) and Kristjan (Jaak Peterson) - this is for you!
As much as device batteries and WiFi availability will allow us, we will share our adventures here. If not for anything else, then for our own memories.
Us having chosen English as the communication language here has nothing to do with trying to look more cool than we are. It just happens to be the language that both - or Latvian and Estonian friends understand.
